Caitlin Asmunt (She/Her)

About: Caitlin has always had a passion for animals and Environmental Justice, and thusly trained as a Veterinary Technician in small animal practice with the hopes of possibly moving further with it into wildlife and/or companion animal Rehabilitation. She has been doing community work since high school, and found Conscious Minds through a mutual friend after taking a Solidarity trip to Nicaragua with her school in Grade 11. She has stuck with Conscious Minds ever since, going from a yearly camper, to coordinating and organizing camp, and once CMC became incorporated as a Co-operative, was voted onto the Board of Directors.
Some of her other passions include crocheting, digital art, and poetry/Spoken word.

Sierra Gogol (She/They)

About: Sierra’s lifelong passions are creating art, telling stories, and learning about our natural world: she loves to read, and draw. Sierra was connected to the organizing members of Conscious Minds after participating in the same inter-country project in high school as Caitlin. She proceeded to return to camp each year, first as a camper, then as part of the organizing team, becoming a co-op member and eventually being voted onto the Board of Directors.
She is currently working full time as an Assistant RV Technician.

Haley Kurtz (She/Her)
​
About: Haley is one of the original founders of Conscious Minds Camp, and continues to be a central organizer in the co-op team. She has a certificate in permaculture design and in earth activist training; she enjoys sharing her growing knowledge of edible and medicinal plants, land mapping, and all things wild crafting, having experience leading groups in nature programming since a teenager. She also has a diploma in Behavioral Science, and works with young people with differing abilities, including autism, to do ABA therapy and non-violent crisis intervention. Haley was invited to be part of the CMC incubator team 8 years ago, and since then has played an important role in the Conscious Minds community, from storing camp supplies, to being an anchor for other members.
Haley enjoys hanging out with her dog, Maverick, and the fish and herbs in her home aquaponics systems.
